Pouto Tōpū A Trust is an ahu whenua trust which has land holdings of 2,868 hectares situated on the north head of the Kaipara Harbour, Pouto Peninsula.
With the Tasman Sea to the west and the Kaipara Harbour running along eastern border of the whenua, sits the Pouto Tōpū A Trust.

The Pouto Tōpū A Trust Board comprises 7 elected Trustees as the proprietors in the role of Governance. They set the strategic direction of Pouto Tōpū A trust and oversee the business operations.
Their responsibility as kaitiaki is to always uphold the values of Pouto Tōpū and act in the best interests of its shareholders.

About Us

The trust operates in several primary industry sectors across the whenua including Dairy, Sheep and Beef, Forestry and Apiculture. 

What We Do

The trust recently renovated what used to be the “forestry single man’s quarters” and now operates an accommodation facility on the whenua. The accommodation consists of 6 separate rooms with shared ablution and kitchen facilities.
